I was not sure if we were supposed to answer the questions on the comleadership blogspot or our own; therefore, I am posting it in both locations.
What is a blog? A blog is basically a way for people to publish their thoughts and allow others to view them and respond to them.
What are some ways that someone in a leadership role in a school can utilize a blog? Based on the idea and functionality of the blog, there seem to be several ways in which it could be used by leaders in schools (1) gaining feedback on issues, topics, and/or concerns; (2)keeping employees up to date on issues, topics, and/or concerns; (3) communication venue for parents and community regarding school issues, topics, and/or concerns; (4) special and standing committee forums/areas for discussion and/or feedback; (5) teachers may use it to communicate with parents and students (and administration), (6) students may use blogs to form study groups for classes and/or organizations and; (7) as a venue to communicate with anyone. There seem to be a lot of possibilities for its use.
